Djembe Workshop

Theme : Popular and festive music 

Our most popular workshop, a percussion workshop with dance. The workshop is 100% participatory, students will play a wide variety of percussion instruments; Djembe (main instrument), Caxixi, Tambourines, Egg shakers, Castanets and Claves. Each participant has his own instrument for all types of instruments used during the workshop. We have enough instruments for each participant.

Capacity: Up to 150 participants at a time per workshop.

Drum box workshop (Cajon)

Theme : South America

A one-of-a-kind dance percussion workshop that allows young people to discover instruments from South America. We play on top of 100% Latin American pre-recorded music. The workshop includes a demonstration of South American folklore instruments performed by the musician followed by the participation of students who will play a wide variety of percussion instruments; Cajon (Drum Box, main instrument), Agogo Bells, Castanets and Jingle Bells. Each participant has his own instrument for all the different kinds of instruments used during the workshop. We have enough instruments for each participant.

Capacity: Up to 85 participants at a time per workshop.

Bongos Workshop

Theme : Latin music with cuban percussions

A percussion workshop with dance. The workshop is 100% participatory, students will play a wide variety of percussion instruments; Bongos (main instrument), Maracas, Guiro and Claves. Each participant has his own instrument for all types of instruments used during the workshop. We have enough instruments for each participant.

Capacity: Up to 50 participants at a time per workshop.

Multicultural workshop

Theme : World Music 

Our most diverse workshop! A percussion workshop with dance. We play a wide variety of music from all over the world. The workshop is 100% participative, the students will play a wide variety of percussion instruments; Djembé (main instrument), Jingle Bells, Spoons, Agogo Bells, Castagnettes, Cocos, Caxixi, Tambourines and Claves. (The choice of instruments may vary depending on the duration of the workshop and number of participants)

Each participant has their own instrument, for all types of instruments used during the workshop. We have enough instruments for each participant. It is possible to extend the duration of the activity with a dance workshop with a professional dancer or a demonstration of various instruments around the globe. The client also has the possibility of suggesting songs from the countries he would like us to play.

Capacity: Up to 200 participants at a time per workshop.

Percussion workshop made of recycled materials

Theme : Popular and festive music

Our greenest percussion workshop. A percussion and dance workshop, of which 100% of the instruments are made of recycled materials. A workshop that inspires and creates environmental awareness among students. Participants learn that it is possible to create music from the recovery and reuse of products. The workshop includes a demonstration of our "Recycled Drum", interpreted by the facilitator, followed by the participation of students who will have at their disposal a wide variety of recycled instruments. Each participant has his own instrument, and this for all types of instruments used during the workshop.

Caxixi/Maracas : Cardboard tube filled with Macaroni/rice

Claves : Cut broom handle

Street Drums Workshop

Our greenest percussion workshop. A percussion and dance workshop, of which 100% of the instruments are made of recycled materials. Show & Workshop

A participative show out of the ordinary, a 2 in 1 ! You will attend a show and participate in a workshop, all at the same time. A fusion of all our workshops. We will make you discover 3 styles; Brazilian, Cuban and Afro-Peruvian. After each demonstration of style of music, the students will be able to play with the animators-percussionists by following their instructions. Each participant will have their instruments. 100% participative show / workshop. Students will play a wide variety of percussion instruments; Djembe, Cajon, Bongos, Caxixi, Tambourines and Claves. There will be a lot of different instruments on stage for each style! Very impressive !

As a follow-up to the show, you also have the possibility to add a dance workshop with a professional dancer, accompanied by the percussionists, to get your students moving even more for an extraordinary day!

100% African participatory show with Djembe, Dance, Singing and History

A 100% African workshop with professional percussionists of Guinean and Senegalese origin who will make you travel directly to Africa! Students play, sing and dance to the African rhythms of professionnal percussionists and animators. Participants will have the chance to try up to 2 percussion instruments (Djembe and Caxixi). Each participant will have their instruments.

Duration : 45 to 90 min

BATUCADA : Brazilian Percussion Troupe (Samba)

A 100% Brazilian workshop with professional percussionists who will take you directly to the Rio Carnival! Each participant will have their instrument. There will be 6 instrument sections: Surdo, Caixa, Timbal, Chocalho, Agogo, Tamborim (including 3 rotations). Each group of instruments will have a different rhythm to play.

Possibility of making it a year long activity to possibly put on an end-of-year show!

This very popular and entertaining activity works a lot on team spirit, communication and a sense of belonging among teens.

There will be 7 instrument sections: Bongos, Congas, Timbales, Maracas, Claves, Guiro, Cloche. Each group of instruments will have a different rhythm to play.

Possibility of making it an activity to possibly put on an end-of-year show at your school !

A 100% Afro-Peruvian workshop with professional percussionists of Peruvian origin who will take you directly to Peru! Each participant will have their instrument. There will be 6 sections of instruments: Cajon, Cajita, Guiro, Cloche, Conga, Bongos (including 3 rotations). Each group of instruments will have a different rhythm to play.

Possibility of making it an extracurricular activity to possibly put on an end-of-year show!

This very popular and entertaining activity works a lot on team spirit, communication and a sense of belonging among teens.

FESTEJO: The basis of all Festejo is the rhythm, which is created with Peruvian instruments such as the Cajon (Drum Box), the Quijada de burro (Donkey's jaw / Guiro), the Cajita (Small rhythm box) but also with Afro-Cuban instruments like the Congas, the Bongo and the Bell. Each participant will have their instrument: Djembé, Bell, Maracas, Petit Bois with stick. Each group of instruments will have a different rhythm to play.

Possibility of making it an extracurricular activity to possibly put on an end-of-year show!

Theme : LET'S MOVE !

Our most active workshop, a dance workshop with small percussion instruments. A great way to keep students in shape while dancing and playing percussion. The workshop is 100% participatory and starts with Body Perc. Thereafter, students will play a wide variety of percussion instruments; Drum Sticks, Caxixi, Tambourines, Cocos, Castanets, Guiro and Claves.

Attention : there is no drums for this workshop

Each participant has his own instrument for all types of instruments used during the workshop. We have enough instruments for each participant.

MEGA GROUP

Participative workshop for large groups

A combination of all our instruments, TEAM BUILDING / DRUM CIRCLE

Students will play a wide variety of percussion instruments; Djembe, Cajon, Bongos, Buckets with drum sticks, Caxixi, Tambourines and Claves. Each participant will have their instruments. There will be a group of students for each type of instrument. Each group will play a different rhythm. 

To follow up on the show, you have the option of adding a dance workshop with a professional dancer, accompanied by the percussionists, to make your students move even more for an extraordinary day!

Musical Introduction

The facilitator will demonstrate several musical instruments. Children can also try out a variety of instruments.
